| Rana Ayyub wrote an opinion piece on NDTV that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan played three Muslim characters in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Dear Zindagi, and Raees to give a message, which was a rebellion. Shah Rukh Khan wrote another opinion piece on Indian Express, referring to the opinion piece by Rana Ayyub, that he did not know the name of the character he played in Karan Johar‘s film and he had no intention of making any statement by playing Muslim characters. |
| In February 2022, the ED attached assets worth over ₹1.77 crore of hers in money laundering case filed against her. In FIR registered by the Ghaziabad Police, she was alleged to have illegally embezzling funds she acquired from the general public in the name of charity. Funds Totaling ₹ 2,69,44,689 were raised. These funds were withdrawn in the bank accounts of her father and sister. Of this amount Rs 72,01,786 was withdrawn in her own bank account. Fake bill were found to have been prepared by her in the name of some entities to claim expenses on relief work. Expenses made by personal travel by air were also claimed as expenses for relief work. |
